If NV pulled this childish stunt....cherry picking benchmarks at resolutions nobody plays at, and NDAing everything else...LOL.
Tom's is saying it does not keep up with 780, let alone Titan.
Uh no. AMD limited the game and the resolution.
As soon as reviewers are actually able to get us real numbers, I think some are in for quite a shock.
Still not much faith in those FX CPUs:

AMD said release your 4K TR and Bioshock numbers early. The sites would not have had the chance until the NDA lifted. AMD didn't limit anyone to anything. The sites that didn't test those games at those resolutions are probably the ones that didn't post their numbers and I doubt they got punished.
So we didn't lose anything. We get more info.
Releasing preferential info which favors AMD. Nothing more than marketing done with the generous help of some trusted reviewers.

One does not simply just do well against the GeForce GTX 780.
Lol, L2read. Did you speeds through that and think Toms said it "just doesn't do well against", as opposed to reality where they said it "doesn't just do well against" the 780?
AMD sure made a lot of folks angry doing this!
I guess they are smart enough not to cripple their own cards. Good to see the CPU division is leaving the GPU division alone.
AtenRa, putting words in people's mouths since 2009.

You really believe any current CPU like the FX8350 or Core i5/7 will bottleneck the R9 290X at 4K resolution ???
I don't even know how to respond to this.
Did they seriously put a stock intel sandy bridge heatsink on a 3930k?!?!?

what does this matter?
Im sorry if i misread you but you said they are smart not to cripple their cards. did you not ???
and i ask you, how exactly an FX8350 will cripple the R9 290X at 4K res?? it will be completely GPU limited at that resolution.
