Just my opinion... however think Fury Pro Duo, even yet today it and 1080Ti are very close (as long as software supports Crossfire).
So, if AMD has Vega which is about 1080 speeds, why not repeat then - the delay could give AMD a couple of months to release (put wraps on what was going to come anyways) Vega Pro Duo so as to once again claim the single card (which is AMD's thing over the years anyways) that beats them all, again... Its better than what's on the table from appearance sake for AMD unless they are about ready to pull a rabbit out of their hat.
This would also explain why AMD did a demo of Cross-fire Vega (even though that didn't seem to go over so well) - My opinion, they're working bugs out of cross-fire and making ready Vega Pro Duo...
