On my dual opteron 248's using the SCSI array, I get about 36 seconds...Now for the X2 !
The X2 can do it in about 29 seconds, but no stopwatch +-1 second on both.

Edit, and with 2x F@H running, and about 15 other windows open, and 500 meg ram used.

57 Seconds here on a 2.75GHz 3700+ San Diego. I used the windows clock under date and time properties

I turned my OC down a bit from my regular 2.8+GHz, been trying to lower temps.

I got 31 sec. on my 4400+ @ 2.43GHZ, 2GB RAM, 250GB SATA II HD. This is using the stopwatch on my wrist watch, so I would probably give a 1 sec. margin or error in either direction.

For those using a stopwatch or Windows to time your results, you may want to re-read my post above about having Photoshop time itself (accurate to one tenth of a second).

Actually on MarkFW's system we both timed it and we got 30sec and the PS7 said 6x.x seconds the first time and then 45.x seconds the next time...It appears to be borked on his system....

It also read 3-4 seconds off of mine versus stopwatch from moment I hit OK to completion.....I dont trust it now....How stupid of a program are you if you cant even measure time...LOL!!!!!

Well dont know if I should be disappointed or not because I got:
:S
1m 48s

on my:

Athlon64 3200+ Venice (running @ clock speed)
PC3200/DDR400 Geil 1GB Dual Channel RAM]

Actually...i have another 512mb stick of RAM. I think i will test it using 1.5GB RAM running in Single Channel and i will see which one performs better.

I will post teh results when i have completed the test!

Well I tried running my comp with 1.5GB of DDR RAM but for some reason it wouldnt boot. What i did try however was running the comp with 1GB of DDR RAM in Dual Channel, HOWEVER, i used the Generic RAM Module with 1 stick of the Geil RAM and i got the following result:

1m 53s (5s longer than by using 2 x 512MB Geil sticks together)

Im assuming that this is just a program issue not actually the result of running the different types of RAM together.

Also anyone know why my system wont boot with 1.5GB of RAM? (i.e- 3 Sticks)

Thanks,

Slick

using my cyrstalmark timings....

X2 4400+@2.596ghz
(250 divider) cas 3-5-4-10 570+ddr

29sec as measured from a stop watch....

If anyone doesn't think the timer in PS7 isnt borked then I will tell you it measured 40.4sec...It was 10seconds off what I measured from clicking OK to picture appearing completed...

Anybody using the timer, STOP!!! It could be horibly inaccurate....Like I said a program that cant even measure time correctly is borderline incompetent to pathetic...Adobe should be ashamed...
