Agreed totally, there are just too many variables to consider as Bocamojo said, that a poll would not accurately reflect the "real" baseline of the idle or load temperature.
Systems running in Fairbanks Alaska, would have a quite different temperature signatures compared to systems running in a non airconditioned room in Mumbai India, for example.
Then, these systems probably use different cases, number of internal components, etc.
i.e. my system, when the ambient temperature is 13 degree Celcius, the idle temp. is 32 deg., while load temp is 42, but all these will change when the ambient temp. reaches 40 degree C.

Notice I am getting this temp WITH WATERCOOLING.

You guys got some low temps. My A64 3000 newcastle oc to 2.35 idles at 38-39 and at full load is 48-49. And that's with a xp-90 w/ AS5.
edit: I know this a non-oc poll but I figured I'd share anyways.

Just curious, I don't really care about the proc speed or if its 90nm or not as long as it isn't overclocked. Please run a program that will max at the CPU load for at least 20min before taking the temps. Also, please leave case doors closed.

Temperatures are subjective. A 64 in Alaska will be running cooler than a 64 in Florida.

Hey,
I don't know about this fan and temp controller but it stays at about 84 degrees farinhight? (spelling sucks)
Is there a way to check the temp using the bios or something else?
The controller manufacturer is sending me a manual on how to program this thing.
Thanks
Cowboy

This should be an aircooled only poll, I think those that say their A64's are running 25° all the time are using phase change, peltier, or water cooling. It's not really an apples to apples compairison.
