I am amazed no one broke NDA.
I'm not holding my breath on this one but I'm curious... just not excited.
I am amazed no one broke NDA.
Then again this product wasn't something hyped as ground breaking.

I'm amazed all the AIBs have successfully stopped the leaks. Technically we should already have pictures of the GPU, a GPUz shot, and a bunch of benchmark results.. one month ago. There must have been extra stern talks to management.

Another change for Tonga is that it supports 4K video encoding/decoding, something that even Hawaii doesn't include. By enabling support for 4K h.264 content in fixed function hardware, AMD claims to have as much as a 47% performance advantage over NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 760 using applications like Cyberlink Media Espresso and Arcsoft Media Converter 8.
The power efficiency gain was well below expectations. Hope they can take the 40% better bandwidth utilization into APUs.
