This thread needs to go have a timeout in P&N.

That being said, the prisoners getting mistreated (not tortured) is in NO WAY comparable to the live beheading of a RANDOM person.
So what if were 3 or 4 crazy people in that US prison in Iraq. oops. oh well.
You'll never see a US president beheading random people on video to drive a point home. Thats disgusting.

He pointed out that releasing those photos might have actually given us an advantage, because as soon as they were made public the insurgence dropped sharply - probably because they were all afraid to be captured and put in that prison.

His captors said the United States refused to exchange him for prisoners in the Abu Ghraib prison.

Of course the military shouldn't negotiate with terrorists, but hopefully they tried to get these guys when they were made the offer and didn't totally dismiss it...
