I would LOVE to see the video. Not looking at it doesn't mean that it didn't happen. They showed the Iraqi's being humiliated why not show the American being murdered?

Also, they are not in America tell American's that they are not capable of leading themselves (look at crime and everything else and one might wonder) so it IS different when they behave the way that they always have and Americans behave the way that they are telling them that they have no right to behave. As you can see it smacks of hypocrisy. This is the difference.

The terrorist blew up the WTC because they wanted America to stop oppressing them. America ignored the UN, told lies and bombed Iraq on the pretense of WMD. It is the same as racial profiling by the police. The person has done nothing wrong but lies are told to abuse the "AMERICAN CITIZEN" just the same. Remember Rodney King, and the Obese Black Guy that the cops killed not long ago, ooh and the teen boy, and the deaf guy.

As for starvation, and water depravation the Iraqi's had this but America blew it up so that they could send in their companies to rebuild something that they tore up and make money in the process.

If you Americans don't see the game that is being play with your and your children, spouses, etc lives then I feel sad for you. When they start to draft the clueless patriots then you will finally understand Save the unpatriotic comments for someone who cares and who has not served in the military. I served and it is like pulling teeth, to get the "benefits" to which I am entitled. I hate to see people die on either side so that greedy politicians and their supporters can make money. I hate to see people have to buy Texas gas the the imports are cheaper.

This way is NOT about terrorism it is about opportunities to make money.

I have seen a 'Too graphic for TV' movie once. I'm sure most people have. I'm not sick. I certainly didn't enjoy watching the video, but it was somewhat hard to turn it off because everytime I was curious to see what death looked like. When someone posts a link to a picture that says something like 'Caution: Graphic, disturbing picture' I will sometimes look at it anyways out of pure curiousity.

It isn't unnatural, and it isn't wrong. I'm sure if I died in a horrific accident, most passersby would take a peek at my mangled body. That doesn't anger me, it's just part of life.

But how can you compare porn with a video of someone getting beheaded? A better comparison would be those underground videos where men pick up prostitutes and kill them afterwards.

Yes, he didn't do the best job in making an example. So what. It isn't "sick," that's all.

Personally I don't want to see the video, after hearing the guy's story and how his family feels about it being released, and the video of him before he was killed, I am already deeply disgusted. I can't imagine what the video would do to me.

I saw the video earlier and the pic on that MSN website is an actual video capture. The guy in the video specifically names his father, mother, has siblings, and is from Philly at the beginning of the video.

And when the beheading comes in, he is stilll alive

very graphic video, although the quality is not the greatest.

As other posters have stated, the video is of poor quality. That still doesn't stop that uneasy, disgusted feeling from forming in my stomach. This is nowhere as bad as the soldier getting his throat cut but it is still quite disturbing.

Saddam destroyed their infrastructure. He funnelled billions of dollars to himself, his sons, and his sycophants to build palaces, get viagara, and live like kings while he let the education system, the hospital system, water system, and everything else go to crap. The only infrastructure in place was to support Saddam.

Nic Berg, the man that was executed in the video, was in Iraq to help build up the infrastructure. He was putting up and maintaining cell phone antennas (something that only Saddam and his cronies previously had access to) prior to being captured.

I hope the animals responsible are taken care of quickly. Find'em and take them out.

The shock I expressed in my post was at how people are so incredibly quick to exclaim cries of ungratefulness at these people, when they simply can't get it into their thick, naive, unworldly, small-town skulls, that people around the world don't LIKE us meddling in their affairs. The only 'anger' in Iraq is from left-over members of Saddam's army, foreign terrorists, and internal attempts at grabbing power like Al-Sadr. That is where all the violence is coming from not from ordinary, every-day Iraqis.

This is a country and a people that has known nothing but dictatorship and tyranny for over 30 years. They are going to go through some VERY big growing pains before things get settled. However, I think it is very naive and condescending of you to assume that the Iraqi people would not prefer a life of freedom and a life free from tyranny. They are experiencing freedom of expression, freedom of the press, freedom to communicate, freedom to associate and by all accounts the only people that don't like it are those that are no longer in positions of power, those that want the power, and foreign terrorist organization that already hated the U.S.
