obviously that video is bias. they dont show skylines/evo/supras kicking some butt. i will admit it, america hasnt produced great cars (NOT SPORTS CARS) within the past 15years which is why japanese cars have taken over but they are finally starting to come up. every continent has some GREAT cars that could whoop on the other so i dont know why people pick on each other and it's not all about going in a straight line either

turns>straight

I do believe this is American and performs as such off the showroom floor.

I do believe you're stupid. The car itself is British and the engine is a BMW (German).

OK, you're right... but you're also an asshole.

Any large, heavy, American sports car. Mostly the ones of the 60s and early 70s is the first thing that comes to mind on "American muscle." But today's America sports cars, Corvettes and Mustangs could also be considered muscle cars.

Also, the GT40 is no where near American.

I believe Clarkson said the thing was mostly designed in England.

I don't think it should be taken too seriously. It was a silly, fun video. Well done.

I believe it was an English body with a Ford engine.

LOL Yeah. Ever sat in a typical muscle car? The hillbillies that own them absolutely LOVE to put Armor-All on the seats. The interior of a muscle car feels like you're in a slip and slide or shooting out of the womb. Disgusting.

so what exactly is the typical muscle car, since you seem to know everything, gatsby?
he has never owned one, has never been in one and has never driven one.

He has only seen them in car shows where he secretly lusts over them knowing full well he will have to go back to driving his Volvo station wagon while pretending its a Ferrari whilst making transmission shifting noises from his mouth on his way to the grocery store.

so how do those cars automatically have armor-all everywhere on the interior?

and what's so bad about vettes and mustang (GTs, of course)?

the GT offers great performance and still seats 5 total (i won't attempt to argue that it's comfortable ) at $25k. that's pretty damn impressive

LOL pwnt

American = crap

People who say otherwise are just american fanboys who go around yelling YEAH! AMERICA! <hillbilly voice>

Orly? What is an import interior made out of (most of them)? Wool, carbon, space aged frabricated gel? Are you saying imports dont use plastic either?

Im not saying mine is not made of plastic everywhere but a good 90% of all cars, made all around the world, are made of plastic INCLUDING your simulated wood dashes

People who say otherwise are just IMPORT Fanbois who go around yelling You want fries with dat, I got da 411 hook up on the nitro yo! <Chinese voice>

In reality, where are you going to use acceleration? From one stop sign to the next? You're still breaking the law if you're burning rubber on a street or speeding, what's the difference?

American cars simply CANNOT hang in terms of top speed. I don't think an American car has ever been made that could do 200mph stock right off the lot, let alone the 220mph+ (a few 240+) some Euro cars are doing.

C6 Z06 top speed is 200+ mph.

They don't, the owners do that. Every owner of these sort of cars I've met seems to LOVE to put Armor-All on the seats (where Armor-All does not belong). It's true, I've seen it a million times. I just wondered why. I think it's moronic.

And what's wrong with the GTs Corvettes? THey're cheap on the inside. They're basically rehashed interior parts (same steering wheel, radio, handles, knobs, etc) as in every other car in each company's line up.

I'm not denying all cars don't use plastic.

Yes, all cars have plastic but it's how you use that plastic and where you place it, etc..

198mph, Which is pathetic for something claiming to be a "top of the line sports car."

well considering is it faster or as fast as cars costing twice as much:roll:

I live in FL and Armour all or other products similar are used by a LOT of
people to help prevent UV damage. My car has leather so I use a conditioner
on it once a week. If you were/are lucky enough to own a BOSS 302 'stang
would you just let the sun dry and crack the dash and seats??? I don't think so....

200/198 is very fast, and the Z06 is a great car - hardly a good example if you want to rubbish American motors.

Exactly. <80k msrp makes it the best bang for buck sports car period.

Calm down guys the important thing to remember is that I can take a tow chain and hook it onto the frame of any European/Japaneese POS and drag it to the nearest ditch with my Chevy truck.

Torque is what you need.
