Hey all,
A friend of mine is moving to Japan for a few years, and wants me to build him a new computer. I was just in Japan a few weeks ago (so I could've bought the parts in Akihabara), so I know that a US built computer might have difficulties with the power in Japan.
Ideally, some kind of converter would make everything hunky-dory. Could we use a converter with a US power strip? If not, we'd build the computer here and use a temporary power supply, and install the Japan-rated supply. However, that doesn't address the monitor or speakers.
Thoughts? What would you do? What have you done? Thank you.
