I have an AE button up shirt that's paper thin. So thin that it feels like...paper. The jeans are thin too; soft, comfortable, but thin. But I haven't much there mainly because most of their stuff is a little too young looking for me (moreso than A&F).

AE always has a clearance/sale section on their site and prices are pretty much always this low. Unless there's something unique about this particular sale that I'm missing. Like I said, the last hot deal from ae.com was when they had 15% off clearance and free shipping over $50. Damn I stocked up that day...I'm wearing one of the shirts right now.

That's the whole "vintage fit" style. I ordered a few of these vintage styles a few months ago thinking it'd be the same material/quality as my old AE t-shirts, but these things were so thin and tight, they were literally see-thru. Returned it the next day. I'm guessing its just a seasonal thing. They usually have good clothes, very similar to A&F, but half the price.

That is kind of funny you point that out. That is exactly what I have observed. I have only gone there twice and they were both in the last two months so possibly, they are a seasonal thing. Back to the shirts, my sister always says these types of shirts are designed for skiny white guys. I avoid those because like you have pointed out, they don't fit very well unless you are tall and skiny.

The only experience I have had with them was a pair of pants I bought, fit great in the store but after wearing them a day or two the expanded, which is a normal occurance with pants, they fit a little tighter when first washed...but these literally became like 3-4 sizes bigger, I couldn't even wear them with a belt they got so much bigger. I was really bumbed because I really liked the pants, so I just washed them after every wear, but that lasted for awhile and now they are just big. It was a 34 waist, but I think it expanded to about a 36-38 waist, but nice quality.
