What is My Wish?
This year on My WishList, American Express is taking requests on the last day of the promotion (12/16/05). My Wish is a new aspect of the My WishList promotion in which Cardmembers can tell us what they are wishing for this holiday season and how much they are willing to pay for it. American Express will select three individual wishes and offer them on 12/16/05, for Cardmembers to purchase. Of course, the Cardmembers who supply the three final wishes will be the first in line to purchase their chosen product for the price they set. Limited quantities of the item(s) available on 12/16/05 will be determined based on the wishes selected. Please check back for further information after the launch of My WishList on 11/29/05.
Is My Wish a sweepstakes?
No, this is not a sweepstakes. Wishes will be selected at the sole discretion of American Express. The Wish selected will be offered to the wish's submitter to purchase before making limited quantities available to the general Cardmember audience, who will also be eligible to purchase the item(s); same Terms and Conditions of My WishList will apply.
When am I eligible to submit a wish?
For the My Wish pre-launch, Cardmembers are eligible to submit a wish beginning at 12:01am ET on 11/1/05, and running until 11:59pm ET on 11/21/05.
Do I need to be an American Express Cardmember to be eligible?
Yes, you need to be a U.S. American Express Cardmember in good standing who is 18 years of age or above to be eligible.
What do I have to do to participate?
You need to fill out your wish entry on the entry form on this website, including your full name, phone number and e-mail address, as well as your wish description and how much you are willing to pay for it at www.mylifemycard.com/wishes. Please see the sample entry form below:

What happens to my information once I enter? Is it Secure? Is it shared with anyone?
Your information is passed on to a secure site, where only American Express approved parties will have access to it. This information will only be used to contact you if your wish is selected; it will not be used to contact you for any future communications and will be destroyed after the promotion is over.
How are the wishes selected to be granted? How many are selected?
Wishes are selected at the sole discretion of the provider. Limited supplies of these three wishes will be offered to all Cardmembers on 12/16/05.
If my wish is similar to another Cardmember's, whose wish will be selected?
This choice is based on the sole discretion of the provider. Factors in the decision may include the order in which the wishes are received, the offer price, and availability.
How and when will I find out if my wish is selected?
You will receive an e-mail and a call at the address and number you provide before 12/16/05 if your wish is selected. If you would like to accept your wish, you will be required to give your American Express Card number and billing address for verification and purchase. You will also have the option of giving receiving an e-mail receipt of purchase. A list of selected wishes and their submitters will be made available on or about 12/16/05. Are there guidelines for what I should wish for? And how many wishes can I submit?
Final wishes will be selected based on feasibility and availability. You can submit wishes across multiple categories, such as electronics, auto, home, travel, accessories, jewelry, clothing, computers, music, entertainment, tickets, arts, movies, restaurants, food, and toys. There is no limit to the number of wishes you may submit. Only one wish will be selected per household. Three wishes total will be selected by American Express. There is no minimum or maximum threshold for the price tag you choose to attach to your wish. American Express reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to alter wishes and pricing submitted by Cardmembers.

Taxes:
You will be responsible for your state?s individual tax rates. The sales tax charged, if applicable, will be on the actual price paid (the WishList price) rather than the recommended retail price. All purchases may be subject to personal income tax (federal, state, and local) based on the discount amount off the fair market value of each of the item(s) purchased. Discount amounts of more than $600 per Cardmember across one or multiple purchases are subject to income tax and you will receive a Form 1099-MISC. American Express, where applicable, will provide funds to Cardmembers to help defray income taxes. You will receive a package in the mail with full details on how to receive those funds.
