I think Ramielle is going home.

i'm thinking that too. she's cute as button, but her performances are consistently weak.
although horndogs may vote for Ramielle whereas Chekiezie isn't going to have that liberty.

Kristy Lee Cook pulled off a brilliant song choice. There is no way she is going home after that.

Carly might be in trouble too. Her placement in the bottom 3 last week may boost her votes this week, but the judges weren't thrilled with her performance this week so if she doesn't get a boost from the "She was in the bottom 3?!?!?!" crowd she could be in trouble.

Ramielle was pretty weak. So was Chikezie.

I actually thought that David Archuleta was mediocre last night. His song choice was terrible. I don't think he's in any danger of getting voted off, but IMO he's going to need to step it up soon.

Sadly, Kristy Lee Cook is going to stay another week.

I think they need to send the judges home. They are so inconsistent. They really have no clue about music- all they know is $$$$$$$$. This show is not about musical ability much the way Madonna was never about musical ability. This show is all about sales.

That said, all the performances were lackluster and dull. Kristy Cook's song choice was pathetic. that song is so bad and cheesy. At least she knows how to play the game better now. She still has to figure out how to sing properly though.

Little David chose a horrible song and it did not go well for him. His worst performance yet. The judges seemed to like it though for whatever reason. probably b/c they are retarded.

Carly's singing was not great, but she sang appropriately. She might have been tense, like Simon the ass lick said, but the song is a tense song. It is not a bad song either.

What can you say about one-trick Brooke? Here is one word for Miss One-trick: predictable. She gets more and more ho-hum every show. She can take a decent song and drain all the life out of it. Hey, at least she got called a professional for making a mistake though.

David Cook. At least he is not to blame for that emo-ed out version of Billie Jean. God that was bad. It smells like money though. BTW, Eddie Vedder and 5 million thieves before you called: they want their vocal style back. Yes judges, David Cook is so original.

Chikezie was just ok- his singing was off at spots. The song was kinda cheesy, but he is a good performer as the music runs through him pretty well. He really gets in touch with the music. Too bad he didn't choose a better song.

Syesha. At least the judges were on about one person. It was her best performance... but she is not nearly good enough to win. Good thing she's got looks.

Jason was ok. I can't even remember what he did actually. I guess it was pretty forgettable.... But hey, I like a guy that doesn't practice much. And someone who sings a Lenny can't be all bad.. even if it is too sophisticated for him. He is not among the best but who knows. Girls seem to like him. I like his attitude too, but what does that have to do with music

Of course it is. They are looking for the next great pop star. There is more to being a pop star than musical talent; the image, personality and stage presence of the performer are factors too.

Last night's show really rubbed you the wrong way, huh?

I thought something didnt feel right about Carly also last night. She is one of the best in the competition yet last night I agree something wasnt right even though her performance wasnt that bad, there was this look on her face like she was scared shitless about being in the bottom 3 the week before.

i thought the song was just too big for her. she never attempted any of the high notes. the high notes she did hit were mediocre. i just think the whole time, she was nervous / tense because she new the song was just a bit high for her.

My guess is Ramielle is out.

David Cook is a one-trick pony. He takes a popular song and emo-izes it. His survival depends on how quick that trick wears thin. So far, people are buying it.

And as far as I can tell, he's been using somebody else's cover as the basis for his performance every time. Lame.

did you listen to Cornell's "Billy Jean" arrangement? i don't think Cook sounded exactly like that.

I guess it doesn't matter since that's mostly what he'd probably be doing if he won.

I have a feeling you don't like Green Day or Norah Jones either because all their songs sound pretty much the same. But that's exactly what I like about them. Being a "one trick pony" is fine so long as it's a really good trick.

I may not like David Archuleta much but he made me listen to John Farnham for the last hour or so and You're The Voice still sounds nice after all this time. I remember when this was on the radio and MuchMusic. The bagpipe part is especially poignant. One has to remember how scary that time was with the fear of nuclear war hanging over us, Reagan, etc...
