I completely agree.
Arch is the better singer, but Cook has the better money-making potential.

I disagree, I think arch will be the better money making potential, I mean you can hear all the little teenage girls shouting for little david. With Cook, you have other artists that to compete with but with Arch, you have known for the age group.

One thing that Archuletta has going for him is that he's young...he's moldable and given his supposed "stage dad", he'll be ready for the molding. He's got the voice, now the studio just needs to package up an image and channel for him and he should be okay. At first, his entire audience will be of the Hanna Montana and High School Musical variety, but as he grows up, he might be able expand.

But if he gets to 18 and he's still puppy eyed "awww shucks", I'm going to punch him in the face.

"Right Hand" David is annoying and I got tired of the ballad crap week after week. Here's hoping "One Chord" David pulls an upset.

Cook said at the start that he already knows who wins, and he's just having fun. I'm glad he chose to not sing a song he already sang for his final one. Could he have picked a better song to end with? Sure. But I thought it was pretty weak of Arch to pick a song he's already performed (and not that well IMO when compared to the original).

It was no doubt Arch was going to win AI...but Cook had some fun it seemed.

I think Cook actually won. what i mean is the winner of AI is owned by AI for awhile whereby according to The Associated Press, he'll (Simon Fuller will) take 25% to 50% of all earnings, significantly more than the 15% to 20% most managers collect.

go David Cook. runner up is a good place to be. i would buy his album. Archuletta is just a flash in the pan, and not my taste in music anyway.

Heck no, Cook didn't throw it. Breaking down in tears is not a move of someone who could care less if they won or not.

All of the finalist are under contract with AI. Since Clay got out of his, the contracts are said to be iron clad now.

I think the tears were more of a relief that he had sang his very last song in the competition and maybe tears of joy that he had made it that far.

I'm just wondering if he sang less than popular songs for a reason, like he didn't really care if he took #1, as the #2's can do just as well. In essence, he's made it whether he wins tonight or not.

and i never said all of the finalists weren't under contract. i did show where the winner is tied financially and physically actually to Fuller (and his producer group, 19 Entertainment) more than any other contestant.

At this point it doesn't matter which David wins, both have sufficient exposure to launch their careers. I'd give Cook's album a listen, have zero interest in Arch. His voice bothers me.

Did anyone else's broadcast have a significant cut during Simon's eval of Cook's final song? Simon just started talking about it (bad review) then all of a sudden there was a cut and Ryan was on stage giving the numbers to call for Cook. Ryan was acting like something akward had happened, so I was wondering if they edited something out of the live broadcast.

I'm more of a Cook fan but little David definitely took the night. Big David just didn't do anything spectacular, whereas little Davids first 2 songs were very good. And Big David's last song choice.....yikes, not the best song to show his stuff. Probably didn't matter anyway, people are voting who they voted for the whole time anything, they aren't switching guys now.
