It's you and your friends who are tone deaf. DeGarmo couldn't sing her way out of a paper bag. Don't cry out load was her only half decent performance. It's the only decent song on her album too. I know, because a co worker bought it just to torture me. He was the one of the few that did though, because her album sales were just sad.

Carrie is still the best singer in this group, and she will win. I've picked every idol so far, from the point of them deciding the final 10/12 group. The streak will continue!!!!

I'm sorry, but you are simply wrong. I might even agree that Anthony did the last song a bit better....or maybe not.....the band did a much better arrangement for him than they did for Carrie. That right there pretty much blows any pro-Carrie bias theory out of the water.

Plus, you do remember they did TWO songs, right? And Carrie blew everyone away on the first song. Much bigger performance gap than there was if you say she lost the second song.

Saying that all the better voices have been eliminated in favor if entertainers is wrong, too......the one place where Carrie is weakest is in the stage presence/entertainment department. That's the main thing the judges have asked her to improve repeatedly.
And please....Anthony was a good singer, but a total stiff on-stage. No presence whatsoever. Not a pop idol at all.
Constantine was NOT one of the better singers....one of the better performers, yes.
Anwar was the best singer, but, like Anthony, was a total stiff on-stage. That's why he's gone.

And how can you say other than one song, everything Carrie has sung sucked? Want examples?
She nailed Faith Hill's version of the Janis Joplin song "Piece of My Heart" perfectly, she sang "Love is a Battlefield" by Pat Benatar very well, even though the judges don't like her rocking, she completely SMOKED Heart's "Alone", and there were a couple other country songs she did very well on, too.
She hasn't been perfect, but there's no way you can say she can't sing, or doesn't deserve to be there. There isn't any conspiracy. She's getting votes because she appeals to a lot of people.
IIRC, she's the only remaining contestant (and has been for some time) that has NEVER been in the bottom 3 vote-getters.

The biggest injustice of this season's Idol, if there is one, is how people like Scott and Anthony stayed longer than Anwar, Nikko, Nadia, and Jessica.
All 4 of those are better overall than Scott and Anthony, and arguably, Constantine.

Bo and Vonzel were great. Carrie did well in one song, but I felt her others were lackluster. I think Carrie will get booted off tommorow, but that's ok because she can come live with me on a farm in Lancaster County

Carrie has always been weak. I'm surprised she got this far. That being said, she will do well with Country songs wrtitten especially for her.

Tough choice between Vonzell and Bo but ultimately Bo will be picked since he is much different from what they have had previously.

Vonzell could be the next Aretha, Whitney, Donna Summer, take your pick.

Just hope she doesn't let the $$$ corrupt her like Druggie Whitney.

Yup, it will be Bo vs. Carrie.

Vonzell can only sing well when it comes to songs with high notes that she has to yell.
Other than that, she's mediocre. She has a great personality though.

Bo has great on-stage presence and a very good voice, although he had some trouble with low notes yesterday.
But he is the least marketable of the 3 remaining.

Carrie has a decent voice, weak on-stage presence, and a beautiful smile (perfect teeth).
If she can do songs other than country, she will be very successful, mostly due to her looks.
Proof? Britney Spears.

The most deserving two are left now. I liked Vonzelle; she has a bubbly personality, and is simply a likeable person, but she simply couldn't sing well enough.
She can sing in the upper registers like a mofo, but can't carry a tune in a bucket when she's singing low. That is the difference between her and Carrie. The edge Vonzelle has in stage persona is more than made up for by Carrie's superior singing ability. If you are at the performance, you care about whether the singer is making eye contact with you, and what they are doing onstage.
The people watching on TV, (e.g., most of the voters) care about how well you sing. How well you nail the vocals. You can hear that stuff great on TV, and not so great live.
Perfect example of this is Van Halen when David Lee Roth was the singer. They were the best live band, bar none.....but you'll never hear a live CD with DLR...because it was all about his performance, which oftentimes didn't include a lot of singing, or at least not much good singing. But the people there thought it was the best show they'd ever seen.

Plus, there are simply more people watching that like the music that Carrie is best at singing. She's great at the newer country stuff, and some pop songs.
Vonzelle did her best on old stuff that 75% of the audience wasn't even alive to hear when it was popular. (Chain of Fools, Don't Leave Me This Way, etc.)
Bo is simply one hell of a performer, and the only thing you can say is there's just something about him....and that's why there seemed to be WAY more people that showed up for him than the other two when they alll went home.

I completely disagree. Vonzell is very cute, as is Carrie. I personally prefer Carrie's looks, but that's just me.
If looks were such a big deal, then Ruben Studdard would have never won. Neither would Fantasia.
And Bo is NOT a better singer than Carrie. Better PERFORMER, yes, but technically, Carrie is the best of the final 3, strictly going on their singing ability.
I don't think looks are as big a deal as you think. Remember, we're only a few weeks removed from Scott Savol leaving....and he lasted longer than Nadia, Jessica, and Anwar, all of whom were much better looking.
Carrie will win because she isn't just up there trying to look cute and get a record contract singing whatever they tell her to.
Vonzell never established an identity....what kind of music that she IS. We all know Carrie is a pop/country kind of girl.
We all know that Bo is a Southern Rock kind of guy.
Does anyone know what Vonzell is, besides a cute chick that has a big voice? Is she R&B? Pop? Country? Disco? Oldies? Nobody knows. She's tried them all.
She doesn't have an identity.
When push came to shove, Carrie almost always reverted to Faith Hill/Shania/Martina/etc. type music.
Bo went with stuff that really suited his voice, did particularly well on some late 60's, early 70's songs.
Vonzelle was all over the map. She didn't have one type of music to fall back on.
I really think that this hurt her, almost as much as not being able to carry a tune on low-octave parts.

I agree. I'm sure that multiple execs in Nashville already have deals waiting to put in front of her if she loses. She has nothing to worry about.
Neither does Bo or Vonzell, for that matter. They will all get deals.

And how about Bo getting to play with 2 guys from Skynyrd when he went home? That would have been awesome.
