I believe the American Indians had a better way------they tied then to a set of stakes. smeared honey on the victim, and then let the ants eat em.

We modern civilized people have a better way----we indict em---let them dangle slowly slowly in the wind, and let their attorneys eat them alive with legal fees-----when they are dead dog broke paying for those expensive beasts we give them free room and board for a number of years.

Finally we let them out, they write a book about how they went wrong, and we pay huge lecture fees to
listen.-------somehow I think the American Indians had the better way.-----leave the indigestion to the ants.---spares us the further indignation.

well the wrapping in leather, whether the whole body, or just the neck are pretty insidious, and are meant for death without honor. scalping still implies that (to a miniscule degree) that they are worthy of the prize. the leather around the neck is so that the idiot victim would run water on the collar to soothe the pain, and thus cause it to shrink until the wearer can no longer breathe.
