What he's saying is similar to arguing that Kansas is going to vote for Biden due to abortion. Actually sorry, what he's saying is more extreme than that because Trump only won Kansas by 15 points while Biden won New York by 23 points.

But losing Long Island and Hudson Valley to the GOP is not normal.

You're kinda missing the big picture here. Which is that the GOP is feeding false narratives to the public about crime and immigration in order to distract people from the fact that they're going to renominate the same guy who tried to suspend the Constitution and make himself a dictator just a couple years ago.
Now I don't know about you, but I'm more than willing to tolerate a nominal amount of crime and immigration (which the GOP has no actual solutions for anyway besides vague BS tough guy narratives) than lose freedom and democracy to racists and religious zealots.

The difference being abortion may affect the female population once a year.. migrants affect people as soon as they leave their apartment.

And once that takes hold.. it really takes hold.

Sadly some issues are just not equal as demonstrated by so many women voting against themselves.

Maybe I didn't phrase my concerns properly so you thought they were outlandish.

In simple terms:

If 1 or 2 states goes trump's way.. the country has a MAGA president we both know this.

We already know the senate map is hard next year.

But the worrying thing is we have the GOP making inroads here enough to get some districts and those would hand them a trifecta.

That is what worries me more than the whole state flipping.


Might sound crazy but Mitch wanted to keep the filibuster.. the MAGA crowd might not care about later and just want its cake now!
