It seems kind of obvious to me that yes, you need to have strict, effective, enforced borders.
You also need to have a robust processing system to move people off the border expediently and fairly.
And lastly the recognition that the vast majority of people coming to the US southern border are doing the same thing anyone who has ever come to this country has done: looking for a better life for themselves and their families.
When processing, don't be punitive, don't be capricious, we just want to keep potential criminal elements out while letting people who want to better their lot through honest work in.
