Americas tire dirtied interior from wheels

If it matters, the wheels were 245 /45 /19.

Of course it matters. That was a critical piece of information.

Anyway, how would you guys have handled this issue? I managed to get the tire dust off of the headliner after using some ethyl alcohol (not isopropyl) and 3 hours of my time. Should I have gotten the entire amount of money?

Not only that, I would have firebombed the place in the middle of the night. Incompetence cannot be tolerated. It's why this country is going to Hell.

So when exactly are they responsible? They dirtied the headliner removing the wheels from the car. How about if I remove the wheels from the car for them and when they put the other wheels back into the car, they dirty the car as well? They didn't put any bags over the wheels when they did the swap.


BTW the wheels were not dirty, they simply got tire dust onto the interior of the car. They literally rubbed the tire against the interior.

I can see why they did that. Wheels are heavy, you can hurt your back moving them. But, that is still unprofessional and they should at least pay for someone to clean it off

Nah, torque it in a criss cross pattern, should be close enough. They kind of fall into place pretty firmly once you get them on though. I think when you go for an alignment it's not the wheels they adjust, but the part the wheels attach to.

He put the rims in his car though and the installer made the dirty mark on his interior while taking them out of his car. I've had installers give me back wheels and they always put them in plastic bags as well before putting them in my car.
