I've found that it really doesn't matter what you eat as long as you exercise.

Yeah, I could easily work off the 2,310 calories from a Baskin Robbins Heath Bar shake in only about 7.5 hours of exercise.

Some people just don't get it.

Right after football season ended, I could eat whatever I wanted and as much as I wanted and I would gain absolutely no weight

And you are what...18...23 at the oldest? Come back and say that after you hit 25-30.

Yea that's probably true, but if you exercise at 25-30, your body's metabolism will still stay relatively high
The thing is that most people stop exercising at that age

I was a skinny ass mofo until about 22...and I ate a lot of junk. I didn't change my diet and by the time I was 26 I was a a bit chubby. I've taken it back now at 28...but diet plays a massive part once you stop growing.

Most skinny guys that swear they eat "a ton" actually eat very little (< 2000 calories/day). Exactly how many calories were you consuming per day?

For some reason, I just don't see milkshakes/smoothies as "drinks". They seem more like a food item to me.

I mean, after a hot day playing bball, the last thing on my mind is "Damn, I'm thirsty, I could sure go for a Jamba Juice Peanut Butter Moo?d Power Smoothie. That'll quench my thirst!"

I'm 33 and can eat whatever and put on zero pounds, I might be the rare case, of somebody who's tried for years to PUT ON weight, I'm not skinny or fat, 5'11 about 200lbs. I eat 3000+ calories a day, as much fat as I can cram and nothing happens really. I don't even exercise or do much aside from sit in front of my PC. A month of gorging on nothing but junk food netted me 3 extra pounds and I can't even say if it was from eating a lot or not. Today I ate

1 lb of Chicken Fritters with Blue Cheese dipping sauce
a bag of Dorritos
4 liters of Pepsi
1/2 box of mac & cheese with 2 Ball Parks diced in up it.

I dunno a calorie count but that has to be over 3,000, I eat like this every day and I'm stuck @ 200lbs. Tomorrow I'll try to double up on everything for a week and see if that works

You should be careful. The extra fat content is going straight to the arteries.

I am careful, I carefully plan each meal to have the maximum fat content. Fat tastes so good, and I can actually piss people off just by what I eat. I have a couple Vegan Hippie neighbors who act very militant towards me when I rattle off what I ate that day lol.

QueBert - come back in 30 years and we will see how eating shit did nothing to you. Oh wait, you won't live another 30 years. Ooops.

Edit: 5'11 and 200lb IS fat. Your BMI is 27.9

* Underweight = <18.5
* Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
* Overweight = 25-29.9
* Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

So if you think you aren't fat, you're living in denial.

lol are you my Hippie neighbor? I could have sworn you didn't have a computer, nice of you to come online and harass me. But seeing how I'm overweight not obese (according to what you pasted) I'm not fat YOU FAIL!

God I love how my choice of what I EAT can make a stranger so upset at me, get a life dude.

*goes off to eat some some mac & cheese*

FYI "fat" people shop @ Lane Bryant & The Big And Tall Store, I shop at the same store in the same department that you do.

No, I'm not your neighbor in Mexifornia, I live in H-Town.

Overweight = fat.
Obese = obese.

I got a life, just can't sleep. I just finished the bowl of whole grain mac and lots of meat. Probably around 600 calories.

Usually 1 teaspoon = 5g/5ml

OK, go ahead and drink that Baskin Robbins drink and run for 4 hours. I'm surprised biology doesn't make it hard for you to believe in sugar. They are very complex molecules.

People tend to not use common sense when it comes to thinking about exercise and diet. Most size regulation is done by your body. Consider that if, over a whole year you eat an extra 100 calories per day, you will not gain 36500 calories worth of weight.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_...in_a_teaspoon_of_sugar

According to GourmetSleuth.com, one gram of granulated sugar is about 1/4 teaspoon, so about four grams of sugar would be in a teaspoon.

Just because you're overweight and not obese doesn't make you healthy...

I agree. Makes more sense to drink that than soda. I doubt it's as acidic too, especially since it's not carbonated

Thats pretty much exactly what happened to me.
I thought it was because of a change in my activity. When I was in the Navy I used to work like a dog. At age 22 I left the ship and went to school in Great Lakes. No amount of excercise could possibly keep the fat off. I just assumed that hard work was more effective than excercise.

Have since learned that I cant have a pizza every week, I cant have a 12-pack of coke every day, and I cant scarf down a bag of Doritos every night. And I dont even bother with Coldstone or McDonalds anymore.

Little tip for those looking to change their lives: Steamer.

Theres nothing better than healthy food that tastes good. After a while you wont even like junk food anymore.
Same with coke. You drink enough water and juice and tea and eventually coke will seem aweful.
