Hmmm...I had this happen when I first called as well. I think they're being bombarded with calls for this. I would interpret this as being that you should try calling again later becuse they're probably having some sort of technical difficulties.

Most folks with a Costco membership, for starters. 3% back on eating out, 2% back on travel, 1% on everything else and Costco accepts it.

Amex ranks tops in travel IMO. When I travel to Europe, there are Amex travel agencies EVERYWHERE (almost as much as I see a Citibank), and they're great w/ last minute items, maps etc...(since there is no AAA in Europe).

I use my Amex much more than I do my Visa. The perks and service are simply better. W/ BVG, the extended warranty, and guaranteed satisfaction on all purchases, how can you go wrong?

I have the Preferred Rewards Gold and it's worth my $150/year. My average BVG of $800 per year already makes up for it.
