I totally agree that there should be many more fully automatic rifles on the market. People need to have access to the tools needed for killing each other / defending their home / defending against the police / etc. There's nothing more satisfying than shredding someone to bits with a fully automatic rifle... I recommend everyone try it sometime. It's like eating chocolate; you get that feeling of euphoria afterwards... so deeply satisfying.

It takes VERY minimal knowledge to turn an AR-15 into a fully automatic weapon. So if you are going to rob/kill with a machine gun, i think breaking the gun law is a minor detail. The law sounds all fine and dandy, but doesn't really help much.

Kind of like the few states that dont allow concealed carry. That just means that the criminals will keep carrying (because they would anyways), and no law abiding citizens can.

No one is talking about a fully-automatic rifle jerkwad. Civilian AK-47's are semi-automatic and NOT burst fire either. Get a clue.

seriously though, i have no need to kill anyone. I just find it fun. If i never break the law with it then what is the problem? oh, the fact that some people WILL break the law with one? so what those people are gonna break the law anyway. It's not like a criminal is thinking, oh damn now that i have an AK i'm gonna start shooting people.
it's usually the other way around, and they will do it regardless of wheather they can get an AK, a 9mm, or a melted plastic comb(prison shiv anyone?)

Machetes and hatchets have also been used in some infamous massacres as well. They're all tools. In the case of guns, the purpose may be recreation, hunting, self-defense, or instigating violence.
