So, because she's on the radio means that I have to mourn this as a great loss, or see her as some kind of figure worth mourning? Or do you think that anytime someone dies everyone should hold hands and say happy things about the person? Sorry, but that isn't going to happen.

She's dead and I think the world is better off. You are free to build her a shrine, write poetry in her memory, and cry at the world's great loss if you wish. I, for one, am having a beer in celebration.

When did I ever say anything about celebrating her music or anything of that sort. Do you have reading comprehension problems or do you just like putting words in other people's mouths?

I just said you are an asshat because you seem to be enjoying her death. Not sure what she ever did to you. Were you forced to listen to her music?

I guess you have the reading comprehension problem if you missed this portion of my post: "Or do you think that anytime someone dies everyone should hold hands and say happy things about the person?"

Anyways, I'm pretty sure my post was clear in that I am glad she's dead. Were you forced to think before you decided that everyone is bound to your opinion that nobody is allowed to celebrate someone's death, or am I just a big asshat for saying that other people are entitled to celebrate this as a loss, but that I will be celebrating it as a victory for all of mankind?

Why are you glad that another human being that never harmed anyone is dead?

You probably should seek therapy.

Will she be grouped together with Jones, Joplin, Hendrix, Kobain and Morrison?

The "27 Club" isn't exactly exclusive in its membership. Apparently, to be a member you have to be an "influential rock artist," that died at the age of 27. However, looking at the members it looks like the only qualification needed is "musician that died at the age of 27."

Perhaps you should seek therapy for believing your definition of harm is the definition of harm for everyone. I consider her music to be extremely harmful. So harmful that I think I'm going to celebrate with another beer.

Also, you are free to apply any point mentioned in my previous posts about believing your opinion should dictate everyone else's to why you should seek therapy.

You started babbling garbage about building her a shrine... where did that come from? Your cherry picking is thinly veiled at best.

And nice try turning this in to saying people have a "right" to celebrate her death. Of course they do, that doesn't make them, or you, any less of an ass for being happy about it.

just so ya know... the mods tend to consider comments along these lines "threadcrapping" in memorial threads.

Don't like her.. don't post.

I am shocked, I am shocked, I am utterly appalled, who would have guessed? Seriously, I'm surprised it took so long.

Sucks, but yay drugs.

I don't recall in my absolute rules of everything handbook where "memorial" indicated that you couldn't remember someone in a negative manner. Either way, I also missed the part about this even being a "memorial" thread, or that only happy things are able to be said about her, regardless of what idiotic restriction on "memorial" you artificially impose.

Don't like that other people have opinions that may differ from yours? Don't post. Actually, don't join a forum at all in that case, or interact with anyone in any way. Perhaps one day you will accept the fact that she's dead and I'm a happier person as a result -- instead of trying to censor beliefs that differ from your own.
