Don't like that other people have opinions that may differ from yours? Don't post. Actually, don't join a forum at all in that case, or interact with anyone in any way.

i'm gonna go ahead and guess there's a reason you've been a "member" of this forum for 6 years, and have ~900 posts.

anti-social 12 year old comes to mind.

go back under mommy's skirt little girl, the adults are having a conversation here.

I don't doubt that you consider the music I listen to shit if you consider the music of Amy Winehouse anything other than shit.

I don't actively listen to her, but she was quite talented.

Only a tone-def shitstick with no musical training or context would think otherwise.

Don't like her for her disastrous self-destructive life style? fine.

but that has nothing to do with her talent. She was quite amazing.

Interesting. I thought adults accepted others have differing viewpoints and are actually able to supply substance to their dictations beyond calling others children. Perhaps your definition of adult is my defintion of child, and vice-versa?

Also, 900 posts as a 6 year member vs 20,000 posts as an 11 year member is you argument for me being anti-social?

you're the forum's version of Westboro Baptist Church.

don't you have a gay funeral to protest? or a dog to kick?

well.. duh?
you know.. social means actively participating in communications with others.

that and... mrjminer has not made any friends is quite telling in your profile (and the fact the last few visitors have been mods/admins)

celebrating a person's death that has never done a damn thing to you or anyone else for that matter, other than provide some fantastic music to those that enjoyed it...is somehow adult behavior in your mind?

how about this advice: go fuck yourself, child.

Perhaps you should read my other posts in this thread to realize that your rational is no different than others who have posted here attempting to criticize me for holding an opinion as equally valid as theirs. Your entire rationale is probably worse, though, since it comes down to you thinking she had talent, and therefore she is to be mourned as a great loss to society.

If it helps you cope with being an adult, you can consider my celebration not as celebrating her death, but celebrating that the world has one less person contributing to its downfall.

You have posted 10 comments of trolling in a condolence thread. I warn after one. Your persistence here is duly noted.

Take a few days off days off for your misbehavior and your trolling.

Celebrating a musician's death because you don't like their music is silly. Just as silly as worshiping a celeb. How the heck can you know a person enough to worship or hate them based on liking or disliking their work? I've got to actually get to know someone before I can form an opinion of them as a person.

Did Winehouse run over your dog or something, mrjminer? And poor show playing the censorship card, buddy.

I never said anything about her needing to be mourned as a great loss to society.

I only called you out on being a petty child-man for celebrating the death of someone you knew nothing about, and whose life or death essentially had zero impact on your life...or anyone else's.

I called you out on your childish behavior, pointed out what a dickscarf you are, and you get offended. I understand that, of course, but maybe take this chance to evaluate your rotten disposition. I'm not the only one who has noticed your arrested development so clearly on display, here.

and back to your irrational assumption that she has contributed to societies downfall--

do you think video games are culpable for creating violance in this world?

How about the notion that Winehouse's very public self-destructive path towards her death is far more a deterrent for that lifestyle than anything anyone would glean from her music?

Pretty much everyone, especially her fans, tend to recognize that. I can't remember anyone that has ever admired her music without the qualified "what a shame, though..."

basically--you're a fucking idiot.

why don't you back up your claims? You seem to fervently believe she is a bad influence on people?

well, how? wtf are you getting on about?

She's dead and I think the world is better off.

Someone died and you have the nerve to respond like that.

Don't be surprised if you get a little time off for this.

AnandTech does have some standards and in my book, you stooped way too low.

I despise celebrities, they are idolized, paid in a week what most of us make in a lifetime and ... whatever.

She was a human being, yes a troubled person but she still deserves respect. I only ever listened to two (2) of her songs and thought she was very much overrated.

Ms. Winehouse ... I hope you find the peace you sought so hard (but never seemed to find) in life ... in death.

Probably she is retired in the Bahamas somewhere, her whole drug addicted whore persona is a great act.
A way to boost sales before her grand exit.

This is a real shame - she was a great talent and obviously endlessly haunted by addiction. That is not an affliction I'd wish on my worst enemy. May she rest in peace.

Sad, not at all surprising, but still sad. She actually had talent, which is rare for stars nowadays.

She was quite talented. Her music drew on older 60's music yet sounded new at the same time. She had her own thing.

RIP
