She may have killed herself through addiction, but you know there are people around her who enabled her.

Those people share equal blame for this happening. They are the ones who were in the best position to help her and they are the one who let her down.

Lots of people (we?) live in a culture where they think others should "mind their own business". People lose friends trying to be good friends (e.g. "I think your boyfriend's a douche bag").

yep. I think it gets worse with the facebook era. Now with this false perception that everyone is more connected than before, we actually become far more isolated and distant from one another on a truly personal level.

"Surely, one of their "friends" will mention this to him/her? Why should I stick my neck out and risk the social meltdown that is a FB de-friending?" D:

Or, just as bad, we tend to think that simply posting a somewhat unoffensive suggestion on someone's wall is going to get the message across. "Don't blame me! I told them what I thought!"

Too much obvious posing...but still creepy that she agreed to do that before she died.


She knew how she was going to go. After getting boo'd off the stage in Eastern Europe a couple weeks ago and cancelling her tour, it was only a matter of time.

This. My friends sometimes hate me because I lack the filter they expect when they solicite my advice. I always give them a no bullshit answer, or intervine with honest advice. I have had friends not speak to me for months on end for "what I said", they always come back and thank me when they realize that I was trying to help them.
