Define "burning." Personally, I find that I simply feel it more when I haven't been drinking a lot of water. It doesn't really burn, but it's not completely w/o feeling either. I especially find this to be true when I drink a lot of espressos in the morning.

It could be a kidney stone, have you had any pain in your lower abdomen? I have had two kidney stones, and it burns when you go, hurts like heck until you pass it. IF you pass it. My brother had to have laser surgery where they broke the stone up with a laser because it was too big to pass.

Go to the doc, get some bloodwork, get an xray.

I've had burning sensations after using some kinds of soap ... sometimes it can get down the urinary track. When I urinate, it burns a little.

An STD is obviously the first assumption. If you don't go to the doctor and the symptoms go away, don't assume that it was just nothing. The infection can move up from the penis and into your system. The symptoms are gone but the disease remains.

While it could be an STD, more often it's an irritation. Soap or spermicide are common causes. If you use condoms, it could even be an allergy to latex. Ultimately though, only a doctor can tell you.

Edit: And calling it a "wee wee" is not respecting children. It is reinforcing a shame for the human body. The word "penis" is completely appropriate and not to be a source of embarrassment for people of any age.

Two of my friends recently had a similar problem.. one was diagnosed with a Bladder infection, and the other was diagnosed with a Urinary Tract Infection. Both of them cause you to burn when you pee. Tell your doctor.. they'll check you out, and if you have one of the above, they'll give you these pills that will turn your pee a funny color for a few days [the one friend said hers turned green.. :Q] and then you'll be all better. No big deal as long as you get it taken care of.

If the urine smells funny and is not coming out clear, such as dark yellow it might be an infection. Urinary, bladder.. I would visit a doctor that can get serious.
