an aliens v predator-2 question

Hi All
OK, heres my question for you all that have played AvP2, I jsut started the game the other night so I am new at this *but* heres where I am at :
I just located my female team mate who is hanging on the wall with the alien egg in her, so I now make my way back outside and all hell breaks loose.

After I relize that I just have to go to the first door and open it since theres a frigg'n bajillion aliens, I open the door and I think to myself, WHEW!! thats all I had to do instead of fighting all of them and loosing, and then another wave of aliens come at me. Argggggggggggg !! its real frustrating.

Kinda like Serious Sam, so whats the trick in this level ? and is this game like this the whole way through where its just a frigg'n bajillion enemys coming at you every other hall way ?

Also, will it be real dark the entire game ?

yea I remember this. You just know something aint right when you realize you can't save her and then it hits you as you mumble 'oh Sh!t'

you have to run and run like you have never run before run backwards while trying to kill them and don't stop. I got it on the first run but I think I was extremely lucky in this one.

In AVP2, at least in the marine missions, your goal is just to survive. Not kill everything in sight (although that's the fun part). You are much weaker than the other races.

And yes, just like in the Aliens movies, the marine missions are dark. The Predator missions have a lot of daylight in the beginning though.

I'm about three levels past you and thats really the only part so far that you encounter more than 3 or 4 aliens at once. When you get to part that there are like 6 or 7 aliens following you backpedal and use your pulse rifle and grenades, hopefully you have some grenades. I quick saved at a terrible spot and it took me probably 10 tries to make it out of there. The trick for me was to launch a few good grenades in the mniddle of em and back pedal like hell. Pretty spooky game huh.

That was a rough spot. Like the others said run/backpedel and get the hell out of there.
