It's disheartening to see number of college-educated americans thinking that socialism would end the problems they think their society has. I used to think that our democracy was a joke and once people were educated, in the sense of the word and not college education like it's used in the US context, we'd have a really good democracy. Now I'm amazed at how naive I was.

Yes, and nothing he wrote in that article even remotely resembles any experience I had in K-12, which for me was back in the 70's and 80's. For example, I wasn't taught anything negative about "capitalism." Quite the opposite. And these public schools I went to were in Northern California.
