an emulator for graphing calculator

Has anyone tried out any of the emulators for the TI-84 graphing calculator (and other TI models)?
If found one called WabbitEmu that looks fairly promising, thought I'd see what others' experience has been

If it works well, that would save over $100 . . .

Ah calculator games, that brings me back. I remember playing awkward versions of Mario and mega man on my ti-86 a long time ago. Most of them were just silly novelties, but I distinctly remember most of the school going crazy over Drug Wars.

I'm still bitter about hp getting out of the serious calculator business. Imagine what could be done with today's technology. Some people need a serious math machine, and the calculator form factor is better than any computer or tablet could hope to be.

Your post made me think of that, cause games on a serious math machine was surprising in the early 90s. The systems were so limited, anything other than standard functions was a gift from the gods. Today, a serious math machine could also be a serious game machine, and have 90% of it's resources available for something else.

Honestly I'd be happy with a Bluetooth keypad that works with a phone or PC app in my professional life that mimics the layout of a graphing calc. It wouldn't be a replacement for a stand alone calculator for students, but I'd certainly like it in some situations.
