I am not for tobacco but either end tobacco sales or don't. No sense in letting it exist and then taxing the hell out of it and then suing them for people's mistakes of not carefully reading the warning label. That to me seems just as bad as selling cigs. And I don't believe two bads make a good. The government doesn't want to end it because they are getting lots of money from taxing cigs. Tobacco companies make like $.26 cents profit per pack sold. The government makes like $1.75 profit for each pack sold.

The worst part of it all is the lawyers who made billions off of this. So much money in fact, that they sold their rights to their fees, which are to be paid over a long term, to a big Wall Street firm, and still ended up getting like $3Billion out of it.

And no, the same lawyers are not after Mico$oft or Columbine next, they are the lawyers who are bringing the case against the government to pay monies to relatives of former slaves.
