One of the crazier aspects of all of this is how this dude basically leveraged gamers to get where he is. He's pretty much to blame for the pay to win systems and microtransaction shit in games (he saw the gold farming stuff and reselling in game items on eBay and bought into a company doing that, then tried getting game developers to implement it themselves in games so they could make money - which didn't go over well at first but obviously it did win out in the end; but gamers' united vitriol actually showed him how to build the base of single minded people to exploit by turning them into frothing idiots over relatively minor issues), then he helped Milo and other shitheads stir up and exploit Gamergate dumbfucks, galvanizing them into a political movement which then was exploited by every far right group, which then let them worm their way into actual political clout.

Generally speaking, yes.

I mean it should probably work that way. If the crime you're convicted of is one where you are not a threat to the community because of it and you're waiting on an appeal it is logical for you to not report to prison because you can't retroactively take that back if he prevailed.

Bannon is absolutely a threat to the community for like 20 different reasons, but none of them are what he was convicted of and you can't imprison someone for things they weren't convicted of.

What gets me is how guys like Bannon and Trump are given deference by the judiciary when they absolutely don't deserve any of it, ever. These guys are scum of the earth when viewed by their word and deed. They are an obvious threat to the security of our nation and they aren't ashamed in the least to be notoriously identified that way. And then there's the folks who support and encourage these known criminals of whom number in the millions. The leaps over logic they must go through every time Trump incriminates himself must be as high as it is tiresome.

They call themselves patriots but they're obviously not patriotic to America due to their sworn allegiance to a cabal of miscreant traitors that are persistently attempting to have the people of America lose their trust and faith in our system of justice, our law enforcement agencies, our intelligence agencies and the process of electing our leaders. This is treason being committed out in the open all while they perpetrate subterfuge at the highest levels of gov't, especially so in the SCOTUS where the corrupted conservatives in that court are behaving as if they answer to no one and are above the laws of the land that they are ironically the supposed wardens thereof.

More irony and hypocrisy abound in their need to extract revenge and retribution from having their Exalted Felonious One convicted of crimes by a jury of his peers. It doesn't matter to them that Trump has been found guilty of the crimes he committed. What really matters to them is how insulted and aghast they feel from having their Anointed One be judged by what they want to believe is a rigged court set up the worst enemies they could imagine. This departure from reality is nothing more than a convenient escape hatch from which after entering they can all deny and ignore the real world that is being mean to them. They can all run and hide from reality, but they now realize the fun of running from the law was over the moment that Trump got justice served to him cold, hard and clean.
