I was at NVIDIA last week making sure the image quality issues in the driver were fixed...so far, so good.

After I'm done with the last bit of Opteron tests I'm going to start work on a few major launches coming up soon. These launches will be the training platforms for some of our new interns over the coming weeks.

Sorry I have to be vague as usual It is quiet though.

Wow, I guess Anand is still watching the forums but keeping quiet, probably because of your NDA's and stuff of that nature. You've been hinting at some stuff within your past articles on the video cards towards NV35, its kind of interesting how much more info can be picked out that was hinted at by reading an article twice.

EDIT: Is it just coincidence or by chance that I made my 800th post replying to this? This is #799 but further down is #800.

You hit the nail on the head; you'd be amazed at some of the stuff I hint at in my articles. Don't go reading too much into stuff, but read with a careful eye and you'll get a pretty good idea of what's coming down the pipe.

Last I knew, the method of cooling a video card is hardware. There are many people including myself that will not buy a 5800U video card because of the noise problem. It is important enough an issue that Anand mentioned it in this thread. I was simply stating that I'm glad the nV35 wont have that problem. What is wrong with that?

Nothing at all. I was reffering to the other guys poking fun at Anand & asking for intern applications. I now remember what you're talking about too; the dustbuster=5800U cooler bit just slipped my mind. I forgot how loud those things are supposed to be.

WAHOOOOO!!!! My first reply from "The Boss!" I told my dad and he seemed happy for me as well! (This is the 15 year old side of me speaking, usually it doesn't show at these forums since people don't care about your age[my favorite part about these forums], but in real life some people don't acknowledge what I say because of my age in the technology area)

NV Inside - nVidia HQ tour from Digit-Life about a month ago.

It fueled most of the rumors about NV35's sooner-than-expected release (they show pics of NV35 going through QA as well as trays of NV35 working samples). Other cool things to look out for are the NV40 and NV50 simulators (room full of Xeon stacks :Q). There's also a pic of the guy responsible for maintaining nV's excellent servers (for both gaming and d'loading). :beer: to that guy for awesome BF1942 servers as well as hella fast d'loads for big games like AA: ops and SC Demo.

NV35's release was never "sooner than expected." One of the beauties of NVIDIA going to more parametrized verilog code is that derivatives can be cranked out relatively quickly. The vast majority of the NV30's delays were due to manufacturing, note that despite NV30's delays the NV31/NV34 were launched without a hitch. The same is true for NV35, the chip's schedule was never adjusted, so it's not late nor early
