OK, a 360 Modena is one of the cars that would qualify as "nicer than a 911 Carrera Cabriolet".

Man, if Anand drives one of those exotic cars this site MUST generate some dough.

haha, i BELIEVE he made his first million before graduating high school...if it wasn't 1M, it was 500k. There was an article in the newspaper about him a few years back.

I think the BMW got wrecked. He mentioned it in one of his "Good Morning" articles a couple years ago. Don't know what he got to replace it with though.

Wouldn't it be great if Anandtech.com did an article on each staff member? Monday Andy Tuesday NSF4 (sorry if I mispelled it) Wednesday Evan and so on through all the staff and the last one being Anand to hold up the suspense? That would be kinda neat. It could have things like what parts their computer uses (released and not released), their car, their typical day, etc.

I many times wonder what a life is like for people like Anand.

Don't quote any European cars

Wow, if that is true, way to go! My website that I started back towards the end of elementary school grew until I was getting about 10,000 different people to my site on a daily average over a 3 month period and I never made a single dime.... This peak was when the market was beginning to fall and companies going out of business. My first advertising company went out within a month and before that said I did something illegal... the second one banned me from everything saying I clicked my own banners from different sites other than the one I registered. I mean come on, I click on 3 different ones to check if the links worked from my hard drive before uploading it, and that was out of like the others tons of clicks from people actually clicking it, so I never made money from them. Then, I sold stuff as an affiliate for amazon.com, sadly, noone bought stuff from my site, instead they bought it straight through amazon. Then, my webhost wanted $180/month for hosting on a shared server with 2 or 3 other sites or $360 for the server to myself.

I ended up closing it all, I guess my luck wasn't as good as Anand's

I really do wish I didn't have to close it, but I was in 7th grade with a site that took two other companies out of business, one being the top50network and some other small topsite list site that started around the same time.

A million in ad revenues 2 years ago amounts to about 4 dollars and change nowadays

Then again, with those big honkin google ads on the left...

The last year for the 426 was 1971, so unless it is a transplant car forget about the 73 Hemi 'Cuda.

Also the '73s have the nasty rubber bumper stops and the worst out of the three different production grills for a Barracuda. You'd be much better off with with a '70 or '71.

The YoungBiz Top 100 are very powerful and resourceful young people who, combined, earned a total of almost $2.9 million in 1999. The #1 winner, Anand Shimpi, reports almost $1 million in revenue, and our top four winners all had six-figure incomes, averaging $432,500 each. The overall average income for the entire list was over $28,000 per year.
Young Biz 100

(I belive this page is prolly a few years old)

9000? There is a T1000, J2000, 6000LE, 6000STE - but I've never heard of a 9000.

here's one of his more recent posts:

Err... His post in that thread is more than two years old

The thread itself is ancient, heheh.

Not suprised if he drives a Ferrari--I know he made a lot of dough b4 the internet boom died. But I was just about to post here about wondering how in the world they make any money now anyway. I myself do try to click an add every so often-----b/c it was my impression that the only payment you get for ads is click-thru-----or am I wrong?
