joohang: Most likely the RAM slots are tilted so that memory can be more easily removed/inserted from a rackmount case...

Well, angled DIMMs for a 1U case is a moot point since there isn't a IU case that can hold a large enough PS or provide enough clearance for a heatsink. 1U P3-1Ghz systems are already very borderline in terms of thermal performance.

Not likely. This is why you shouldn't listen to financial analysts. They're usually just promoting the stocks they own. The impact will be felt when AMD reports 2nd quarter earnings around July 19. I expect good news...especially considering how Intel seems to be doing.

I used the same copper heatsinks on a server I'm building right now. It's actually the same one I got from 2Cooltek to put on my GeForce2.

I wonder when they will make a board specifically for 1U servers? All those slots are going to waste. Not even a PCI riser to salvage one of the slots.

That is one sweet looking server. Any Net Admin that decides to go for a RIMMjob after this is a real fool.
