Anandtech Being Picked up as an Attack Site

Hey Mods, just wanted to let you know Anandtech has been compromised it seems.

Hey guys, we've seen it too and we're trying to track down which ad is causing it. If you do get the above error and are willing/able to could you email me the source to the page? It looks like the malware may be served by a 3rd party's ad server that we have no control over, so as soon as we know exactly which ad it is, we can kill it. I'm working on getting some suspect ads pulled right now.

Still haven't had an issue here with FF 3.6.2, AdBlock Plus and NoScript enabled. I haven't seen anyone post they have been attacked while using FF with ABP (other than one user that didn't have ABP enabled).

The adobe error popup in the linked thread..I also got the same pop up yesterday. Didn't think too much about it but seems I should run an AV scan.

I second this. No question it is a necessity these days, and it really isn't a PITA once you allow the sites you use on a regular basis.

Thanks to everyone for helping out with this! We believe we've at least cleaned it up, the next step is making sure it doesn't happen again.

We're waiting for google to review the site again before it can clear us to make those Chrome/FF errors go away. If anyone's malware/virus detection software detects any threats from this point on please let us know about them. As always, you can email me at anand@anandtech.com

We disabled ads earlier when we couldn't find the cause which is why the site was loading slowly. We'll do whatever it takes to nab this thing. It's nasty but I do appreciate you guys being supportive like you have been.
