This may be a user permissions issue. Do you see the equivalent at the bottom of your posts:It would be nice if there was a way to see that the post is edited.
Also, when a problem is solved, it would be nice if the starter of the thread, could edit the name of the thread.
I can not but I'm on mobile. This may be a user permissions issue. Do you see the equivalent at the bottom of your posts:
Hmmm, I'm seeing it on mobile Safari and mobile Chrome. Let me take a closer look at your issue. Keep your eyes pealed for a Conversation.I can not but I'm on mobile.
Coalesced feedback on the transition so far.
Bugs:
• Outstanding 403 errors with editing a reply (reproducable?)
• Hover over a thread title waiting for a preview, the right pane jumps up and locks in place, no longer scrolls in sync with the page
• Embedding of YouTube links with a time offset does not work. Video is loaded from the start instead.
Requested Tweaks/Changes:
• Customize posts per thread on a user level OR set global Registered, Confirmed users at 100, all else less than or equal to 20/25.
• Re-add the old smilies
• Dark Theme option
• Make right column collapsible
• Remove the radar ping animation from the online indicator
• Reduce white space margin above thread title and below date in thread listing
• Add a static quick category navigation to the right-hand side (reminiscent of the old forum left-hand navigation menu) for comfort
• Increase character limit of posts beyond 10k characters (for statistics posts) for Registered, Confirmed users
Did I miss anything?

And some threads do not have a green https lock.
The more you have to click through a thread the more ads that get loaded.

I can't do white or dark themes. White blinds me and going from a dark site to a light site kills my eyes. I need to have a neutral color please.
I just checked their site out and the theme you mentioned still has a bunch of white but it is easier on the eyes than here. A light/pale blue, gray, green, yellow or off-white theme would be ideal.I agree that something in the middle would be the best compromise. I don't know that I'd call the default view over at AVS Forum dark but it's white with a grey/blue text window that is pretty easy to read and is easy on my eyes.
In the meantime maybe someone will come up with a style script that they can share that helps us out until there can be theme changes made.
Likes/trophies/points all need to go. It doesn't matter that "the kids like them". This is a tech site, not a site for kids/teenagers.
One thing I would like back is the ability to post more than 10k words in a single post. For example over at the Distributed computing subforum Tony(TennesseeTony) has already expressed his displeasure over the limit. And I will soon as I might need to sub in for Tony when he is away. Example thread: http://www.portvapes.co.uk/?id=Latest-exam-1Z0-876-Dumps&exid=threads/weekly-stats-07aug2016.2482425/
It was likely because edits made within 5 minutes of posting will not be logged. Could take a moment for the server to refresh. That is strange, now i do.
You can change the number of threads shown per page in the forum listing in your account preferences, but when it comes to posts per page in a thread, this is now a global forum setting. As such, this has been left at 20 until further deliberations are made on the subject.
I don't think the "likes" are bad for the forum really, it just allows you to show appreciation for a useful post. I joined the forum because I needed technical help, and I think people will keep joining for the same reason. I also doubt the likes were really chosen as something to get the kids in anyway, as they're just a default for this software.I agree, but you don't make the best case for it. Younguns were still joining this place before we got Facebooked, Bubbleawesome for example. And us trying to compete on gimmicks and fad chasing with whatever sites are hot with the kids these days isn't going to help our numbers much either; we have no competitive advantage there, it's like a company in a country with labor laws trying to compete on price against other companies in China. We should compete based on our strengths, not our weaknesses.
try here and see if one pleases you:I just checked their site out and the theme you mentioned still has a bunch of white but it is easier on the eyes than here. A light/pale blue, gray, green, yellow or off-white theme would be ideal.
