This might have to do with the user permissions issue we were having earlier. I'll shoot this higher up the chain and see what we can do.

EDIT: This issue should be resolved soon.

Posts per page is likely staying at 20 in the interest of load speed. Almost all the modern forum software platforms have a less than 25 setting here. Though we might look into possibly increasing the default of 20 at some point. (We need to see what load times are like once we have some data)

Seriously? I could run 100 posts per page in 1999 on Fusetalk when I was using Dial-up. There is no forum I am a member of that will not allow you to adjust posts per page, including others on XenoForum. 20 posts per page is incredibly annoying, especially if you are trying to find a specific thing.

I knew things had been running too smoothly after the forums were sold off, and now we have something that screams of a poor rendition of something facebook would put out. I know this is just the initial phase of the new forums, and will remain skeptically optimistic for a better skin on this abomination.

load speed? are you fucking serious? 100 per page works fine on 3g or dial up and you are citing load speed as the reason

Lack of edit button is due to the permissions issue with user groups at the moment. Sit tight, that will be addressed in short order, by EOD at least.

Default theme is intentionally lighter, and intentionally vanilla, since we didn't want to do too much to start with the massive transition from vBulletin to XenForo. A dark theme is on our top 3 for post-launch wishlist items, and has been requested for a looooong time. Shouldn't be too tough, either, since there are a few variants of this theme we can use.

Likes are staying - it's part of core XenForo. You don't have to use 'em, but the kids like 'em.

Returning to the old blue theme would really make me happy.
It is way too bright.
After two hours of navigating through the forum, i feel my eyes are like this :

Not that I disagree, but if we don't harp on it they'll actually forget when they stop addressing issues after a while. Usually the first few days there are attempts to fix things, and after that anything that isn't deemed important enough to fix/address gets left by the wayside.

Which is why we still don't have a dark theme after 6+ years.

Not to mention they could have easily pushed back the migration by an hour or however long it would take and no one would have complained.

Also, the selection of the sub forums on the right that is now gone... It would be nice if it returns.
The option of turning off alerts would be nice.
The view which admins are available could be listed as an option to view in the right top of the page.

Hey Purch guys, is there a way to have a per-user option to disable avatars and inline (user posted) images? I browse this site from work, so images are a bit of a liability. vBulletin had this feature, and it was fantastic.
