Fvsk it! As much as I want to see these benchmarks, I have a Calculus test at 10am. I need some sleep.

It needs to be like a 100% increase...

Also, let's not forget the CAT 3.8s...

I dunno... I am excited that there is finally new software (hopefully not bloatware) that brings high-end systems to their knees... I mean come on-- I have been doing fine with my 1333MHz T-bird for so long now, there has been no real impetus for me to upgrade. Seeing a 2.8CGHz machine get smoked sure makes me look forward to AMD64/WinXP64 a whole lot more than otherwise.

Think about it this way-- if the 2.8 got 100FPS and the 3.06 got 103 and the 3.2 106, then would you really be looking forward to the next increment or two of cpu speed bumps?

In any case, those who chose ATI dx9 parts are in for a hell of a show if the ATI demos are any indication of what is to come. I really love the natural light demo!

LOL, the frontpage is surely getting hit at an all-time high rate
(that's why they wait increases pageviews)

Everyone: start clicking the ads. Let's see how much revenue we can generate in one night

Think we could get enough money for Anand to buy a used McLaren F1 to share with all forum members?

LMAO, if they have to pay per click-through i see a business going down.
and everybody will talk about how internet-adds bring a lot of popularity for a brand but no revenue at all

The bacteria one rules in a darkened room... although the biology major wife ripped on it. I'd think they could make an excellent sea-scape screensaver with dx9 effects for the backscatter.

We pay SO MUCH and we get SO LITTLE!!!
I want to see evolution but in a steady pace. Not pay now pay 2morrow and the day after to get some decent gameplay!
If 6 months become a standard for changing a gpu (which is not so far for me), then it would be OUR fault too.
Because we can't seem to grasp the main idea that WE GAMERS MAKE SOFTW AND HARDW COMPANIES WHAT THEY ARE AND THEY OUGHT RESPECT TO US!!
But with that attitude...HOPELESS FUTURE

I bet nVidia sent him the DET 50.EXTRAOPTIMIZED drivers late tonight, and he's re-doing the benches to try to save them some face...

Why do I have a feeling Anand has his finger on a submit button and will not press it while grinning from ear to ear?

I guess I remember playing diablo 2 on my P-200MMX machine, and not bitching about how horribly it ran, but rather looking forward to building a new machine. I swear back then I checked all the hardware sites (even Tom's!)at least twice daily, and built and rebuilt my machine on paper every day for like 6 months. Finally built my machine in march '01, and haven't felt nearly as excited about hardware since then, with the notable exceptions of the 9700 Pro and Opteron.

I for one am so excited that HL2 and D3 will finally give me an excuse to upgrade. Thanks to Valve, Id, and all others making things interesting again!
