Anandtech... help me sleep (audio and flooring work)

TLDR: People above our noisy and crazy, for my sanity I need to continue talking with friends on teamspeak until midnight or so so they wake me up in the middle of my sleep by jumping around upstairs resulting in my bed behind shaken.

I need help with two things:
1) I've been sleeping well with the help of a galactic star cruiser's engine noise, but I need it to be louder and perhaps some more base. If it matters I use Shure SE215's for the white noise as they are comfortable. https://youtu.be/AZRjNxTOGrU

2) How to reduce the shaking, vibration, earth quake like feeling. I was thinking about anti-vibration pads or something of the sort, click here. I read about this one guy who purchased some kind of a 400lb mat to put under his bench to help with some kind of machine vibration. But I wanted to ask you guys.

Also I've got a blue yeti microphone so it picks up noise pretty well, I want some kind of easy, reliable light weight software that I can run at night to record audio and not have a massive file size. Something that will let me see where the increased sound signatures are at would be good so I don't have to listen to a 8 hour audio clip.

Have you talked to them? To management? Will management let you change apartments or break your lease? Are they in violation of some rule or law which you could use to get some leverage? I've dealt with this before. I've yet to have anyone actually react positively to being asked to turn their music down, so prepare to discuss it with management. Don't back down.

Moving out is out of the question, landlord is of no help, neither are police as it's difficult to have them there when they are making the noise. I've spoken to the people upstairs and the problem is they bought a bad apartment which was previously on fire and hasn't been repaired well I'm guessing. The repairman is the same guy that is living in there now. They complaint is about me talking at night, doesn't matter how quiet, I can't have a guest over or take a phone call after 9pm, it's retarded. I'm not speaking loud or anything as you really have to try and listen to me outside my own room in order to hear a sound (you still won't be able to make out what I'm saying though). And frankly I'm in the den at night, not in the bedrooms so they shouldn't really complain about noise in the first place or use ear plugs as I do.

I've tried ear plugs however the sound gets through them and doesn't do anything about the vibration, they are literally banging on the floor.

I'm thinking about fighting noise with noise but it seems like it will be one difficult fight as they have 4 kids all under 8, 2 which are home all day and the fact that they are the ones living above me makes it quite a difficult fight.

I sleep white noise playing through my IEMs but I need it to be a bit louder to drown them out.

Does sleeping aid work for you? I am talking nyquil strength, not prescription stuff.
