Two comments, two views...
Thanks for adding something on the side to make me feel like that ad space is not being "Wasted." Unfortunately, it can't be on the right side for some reason (advertisers want to piss us off, probably), but at least we now have a decent (IMHO) compromise. Thanks again.
Second, it's ridiculous that the tabs on the top have to require a 1024 pixel browser... many of us don't like our browser windows to be that wide. I personally don't have any need to get back to the main site from the forums (typically I keep them both open in separate windows), so the tabs are utterly useless anyway. However, those who know, will know what to do about fixed-size graphics that cause horizontal scrolling.
(just FYI, Jason, I do not advocate removing the ads, but I see nothing wrong with modifying one's usercontent to fix a design that's fundamentally broken from an accessiblity point of view, and it can be assured that the offending fixed-width header will not be visible to anyone using Mozilla on my computer)
