I would much like to have the dropdown menus back. The last thing I need is something taking up more space on the side. When you get to the bottom of the page near the quick reply, all there is is nothing to the left. It's a waste of space.

Please bring back the drop down menus at the top and bottom. I get to the end of a thread, want to move to a different forum, and now I have to scroll back to the top of the thread???

I am just here for the forums. I used to read AT when I was big into PCs, like 6 years ago. That's why I don't want to see those tabs since I'll never click on them anyways. I know it's my personal opinion, but I've always considered forums as a separate thing from AT.

The layout doesn't seem to work to well with Netscape. I just get text on a white background. No borders or boxes.
It looks ok on explorer. I don't notice the blue add bars, they scroll off the screen straight away.
The favourites and link box on the left is a waste of space. Once you scroll down the thread past it, it leaves an untidy empty white space. Either stick some Adds in it or get rid of it. The old drop down for the links was fine.

Bleh...the aqua blue stuff on top is really annoying and ugly...I can understand the anandtech stuff on top of the screen drawing attention to the site, but IMO it's useless. I'd like to see how much more traffic it brings to AT from the forums. I think the simple Anandtech logo is enough to pull me to AT.com. I think the side bar is an improvement although I am never going to use the Buddies or Favorites bars. All in all, it's starting to look good. BTW GET RID OF THE PUKE YELLOW PLEASE!

Netscape should handle it fine; mozilla does.

If you're using Netscape 4, then you brought the problem on yourself.

I don't use PMs and never will I had them disabled for a long time. PMs are useless to me and should be disabled on all forums in my opinion. Thats what has already happen on another forum and thats a good thing.

Nope, your wrong there, it fixes whatever I choose for it to fix. If I want the side bar back I can do that but I don't want it back. I don't use PM's and have no use for it to browe the forums sense I don't like that way. So its useless for me in my opinion.

The ad bar across the top (the blue part) annoys me, no so much that it's there, but that the ads are dynamic. Meaning, everytime I click, the "width" (height) of the bar changes depending on the size of the ad. It makes the body of the boards jump around a lot - which is obnoxious, especially when it means I have to scroll a bunch more.

Suggestions to fix - place SMALL fixed sized ads in that space, preferably like the small height Mushkin one - and minimize the AMOUNT of the blue around it. The bar as a whole is too "wide" (tall). Any of the bigger height ads should go in the left side ad bar. In fact, I don't care if you stack up 3 or 4 ads along the side there. It would make the flow and usage look better instead of having all that dead space squeezing the boards over.

No. This new side bar and the blue bar ad headers are not working. The drop down menu was so much better and more convenient. Go back please to the original new look. At least that was better. Now i have to scroll left and right and up and down just to see the "my forums" page.
