Just adding to the fine selection of Fractals R3's. These pics were taken earlier this year, I've changed the fan setup a bit since then and also removed the lights.

I realise that I need to sleeve the fan cable of the CPU cooler :/

ok well i just copied a few pics from other peoples posts instead of quoting but how do people do this stuff? like in the first one how are all those pipe things done and all that, and in the first and second what are those cylinder things? and how do you get the tubes to glow like that? and also with the last one how does it look so clean like that like no wiresand it doesnt even look like a computer really, like these are all so cool how do people do this stuff, i want to build a PC soon and i want something like this

The rest of my components are in my sig. It was ON when I took the pics...kinda cool to me how it looks like the fans aren't running

Fair warning.....these pics are HUGE!!!!

Front. I plan on putting another fan in the top area, making a total of 3 intake fans in front. If I need to use an optical drive (which is RARE) I have a way of attaching externally.

From the side. This is the "best" cable management I personally could accomplish with the Antec 900.

A close up of side (not the neatest cable management as you can see)

"Close up" of the HUGE Noctua cooler. This thing is a beast I could BARELY put the fans back on due to the 1/4 to 1/2 inch clearance at the top (I made the mistake of taking them both off...not just the middle one) Also, I unplugged the top fan.

Anyways....not quite as nice as a lot I have seen here, but I guess it all depends on the case you have...and the fact that I NEED a Dremel

those are some high-end builds. i'd even say those are competition-worthy pieces. these machines reflect their builders' technical talent and experience, sense of aesthetics, attention to detail, and possibly more money than brains

Time, money, patience, skills.. Not necessarily in that order

I just finished building a Lian Li PC-Q07 case, and damn if that ever feels like a custom case build compared to normal computer 'Assembly'!

I think the higher quality the case, the more of a pleasure it is to put together

you'll need:
several thousand dollars for parts
a good workspace - a sturdy table and good lighting at a minimum
lots of tools
lots of time
lots of experience - these guys have built many computers before getting that quality and sophistication.

there are no instructions on how to build a custom car, pc, et cetera and there will be expensive lessons and aggravation along the way. if you're comfortable with your artistic talent, budget, and technical ability then go for it. check out the Worklog threads in this forum to see a range of easy to advanced builds.
