Just booted up my new build, spec in sig....

Still need an extension for the cpu 12v cable, and mount the external fan behind top drive cage. With for fund to add a Fan Controller, probably get the silverstone 3&1/2" bay.

The SCSI backplane is from a generation 2 ML350 and a got the adaptec RAID controller 2nd hand..its mounted okay in the front but could do with some finishing work for covers etc...

Front w\ door open
Front w\ door closed
Tunnel Mod - to stop air escaping under shoud
Bottom chamber finished
Lights
Introducting deep blue...

I could do with some photo practice!...sorry.

Just running stock at present until paste cures...hoping for 3.2-3.4, currently idles at 27,24,23,27

My office space is ALWAYS a mess, and I've posted my "Chrome Lightning" before, but might as well do it again:

Chrome window on Chrome Lightning

There are other pictures of this build in progress. It is a 1994 Compaq ProLiant Server case, with slide-out (Lian-Li expander) RAID cages, case-bottom 140mm dual fans, and intake fans behind the RAID cages. I believe I can really do water-cooling "right" if I want to go that way -- with a large radiator on the bottom and a rear radiator hanging off the dual 120mm exhaust fans.

Right now, the system uses "ducted cooling." Chipset temperature stays at 40C -- idle or full PRIME95 load.

Wish I had time to post those other pictures -- maybe later.

Well I had so much fun building my last Test Bench that I thought I would take it to the next level (no pun intended). This is two complete computer systems, one watercooled and one air cooled. I am waiting on a 36" IDE cable to finish the top computer. I also have to clean up all the wiring. The watercooled unit is fully functional and Krunched all last night after the final bleeding. I plan on adding two nice power switches to both rigs and creating a mount for them and the LEDs. The boards are 15" x 20".

The square stock is 1" aluminum and I used 1/4" allthread rods. Bottom columns are 9", middle is 8" and top is 7".

Hey CharlieTee,

Wow. Amazing pics of the amd rig. I am working on reorganizing my cables and case internals for a cleaner look, better air flow, etc. Just wondering where you got the black light cable organizers/mesh coverings. They look nice both in the natural lighting and lit up. Thanks for the help. This is my first build.

Lots of places sell cable sleeving, a molex tool is helpful when sleeving wires.

Your twisted dude! where is that your in a group? class? It's got wheels so I guess it's portable, I love it, where do you normally park it? That must have been a great deal of work to prep and clean. Nice job!

Yeah, the keyboard is low, but it's just really there for looks. I tried gaming with it and a mouse on a side table and it hurt a lot. Thanks for the thumbs up. Next, I'll work on some dremel skills or maybe see if I can find a laser cutter or something because my dremeling was really bad. Now I just have to find somewhere to put this thing....

Here's my new Lian Li PC-A77 with a Lian Li W-75B Clear Side Panel. I had to upgrade to a full tower due to the length of next gen video cards like the 4870 X2 and 280 GTX.

I added another five drive mobile rack so the 830 was too small. This was done back in June. The Lian Li seems well built and ready to be abused. With the tropics heating up it's only a matter of time.
