Ironically, a (different) coworker crashed and demolished his hex drone this past week while he was out base jumping. That's what, $1500 down the drain?

Those things can run up to like $6k. I was on some robotics websit drooling over them.

My gift is two parts. Bought everything for part one, just need to wrap it up and send it out. Second part is being delivered directly. Everything should hopefully go out Monday, but it may be Tuesday/Wednesday. I can't imagine it will be an issue though; lots of time.

that would be hard to prove.

And if it was something the other person wanted, I see no issue with it.
You are supposed to follow the rules and get something on the persons list.
