Thanks ATOT SS, the gifts are exactly the kind of things I had hoped for. With as warm as our weather has stayed so far this winter I may get to try grilling out with the sauces and rub before too long. Halestorm is a band I had not heard of but should have as I like their music(already have them on repeat play ). The flask and belt buckle will be put to good use too.

The gifts arrived wrapped with a personal note but curiosity got the better of me so I went ahead and opened them.

yes indeed! that's a local band for me. A coworker of my last job used to be their merchandise manager.

Awesome. My SS also got me two Halestorm CDs. I'm a huge fan and have seen them at least 10 times in concert.

By the way, the Salt Lick stuff is delicious. I use their dry rub from time to time.

Many thanks to my SS. The CDs, game, chemistry set, and mug are great. My daughter is going to love the chemistry set. She loves it when I take her to work and let her plate things in the micro lab. Now we can do experiments at home.

Well I went to get another pair of packages that UPS delivered to me today. Thing is that I was only expecting one package for a Christmas order from Amazon. Instead there were two packages waiting for me so now I have two boxes of gifts to open from my Secret Santa. I'm just glad that I used the shortened version of my name (Chris vs Christopher) or I might have opened it by accident before Christmas Day. Been waiting for the official gift thread, but looks like we're merged here this year. I actually opened mine last night (always on Christmas Eve!), got a pimp mini-drone & some super delicious chocolates, spot-on & many thanks for the thoughtful presents SS!

I'm working my way through the chocolates, they are crazy! There's like five layers of flavor in each one - as you keep chewing, the flavor keeps changing! My first one went from like chocolate to fudge to fruit to salt to cayenne, it was awesome!
