Count me in after a multi-year hiatus.

Oddly enough I find myself back in the Christmas spirit this year!

Registered.

I can't believe I've been here 12+ years and have yet to register for this. Shame on me.

In for 2012. Had a good time with this a few years back. Glad to be able to do it again.

I didnt.
Last year I got screwed over with a shitty little gift card to Best Buy. I almost threw it out. Was a real bummer after painstakingly picking out individual items to suit my guys wishes.

But I signed up again under the promise I'd get someone decent this year.

I've had some pretty bad ones in the past...one year I got a piece of cardboard with a note that said "Sorry" written on it, and a used game demo disc But half the fun is doing something cool for someone else, and sometimes you do get a cool gift from someone thoughtful!

Fenixgoon, I hope you are still enjoying your Twilight DVD :sneaky:

That's the problem. I think "gift cards" should not be allowed and obviously used demo disk too. That was a shitty move by the persons who did that, why participate if you couldn't give something decent. Why not allow only persons who have been here>5 years with good standing (not a troll, hasn't been banned). I've always spent more than what I received, but I don't really care about that. This is for fun and sharing what you can during this hard times. But please give something you think the person will appreciate even if it's not on their likes/dislikes. I might end up giving new/unused tech related stuff I've accumulated from some Hot Deals this year.

Just my $0.02. :hmm:

Gift card says I don't really give a fuck about you, but I'll pretend to play along anyway.

Now for me, I just give people the things I like. If you don't like it, fuck you. It's so much easier that way. So this year, everybody's getting LEGO from me because I love LEGO.

Ditto, you guys are great, keep it up!

Our pleasure.

All we ask, which we ask every year, is to have patience with us. Jeff and I work two very different schedules this year. My work days consist of 6pm-6am over the course of 7 days/2 weeks (includes working every other weekend), whereas Jeff has a more "normal" M-F schedule. I also have an almost 2 month old newborn to take care of now. We definitely feel confident in our ability/dedication to properly run this Secret Santa though.

All I am saying is, if you don't hear from us right away, it doesn't mean we don't care or are neglecting to answer you. A lot of time we are communicating back and forth with each other to make the best, non-biased decision possible. We just need time.

We are hoping this year is as awesome/smooth as the years prior. Love this time of year!

So I bought the presents for secret santa event this morning (LEGO motherfuckers!), but I accidentally opened both of them because... I couldn't resist playing with them. No worries, I'm just gonna order more next week. It's gonna be either Star Wars (kick ass), or Technic (awesome), or Nerf battery operated gun. Wait a minute, that last one isn't LEGO...

Is there a way to get the likes/dislikes on the form I filled up for the ATOT SS I've participated on (2009, 2010, 2011)? OP, PM me if you have that info.

Thanks for the quick PM reply. Signed up with updated likes/dislikes/additional info.

Happy Birthday (Nov 7th.) to the OP BTW.

Don't let your location limit you. I live in Canada and was paired with someone from Singapore a few years back. It wasn't nearly as much of a hassle as I thought it would be.
