The game is set now, "bradhanson's HE" on PokerRoom.

Lets go ahead and have this one as is below for tonight to get the ball rolling and see how it'll work. We can then plan for the next one from there. If Party Poker had the ability to host tournaments then we would have it there, but they don't so lets plan on Poker Room (PokerRoom.com)
PM me if you are going to play tonight and I will add your name to the list.

I just went ahead and drafted up a set of rules/guidelines so we could have a place to start from. Please offer suggestions and comments concerning them.
I think the best place to hold the tournament is on the PokerRoom network, they offer the ability to setup tournaments such as this and are compatible with Windows, Linux, and OS X. If we do the PayPal idea for payouts then anyone can compete without needing a PokerRoom money account, I think this is a good idea.
I was also thinking maybe to have the first tournament be a freeroll, this would allow any kinks in the system to be worked out without the added element of money (and allow for the bounty next tournament).
I also set a tentative date which seems OK, please offer feedback on this. It's late enough for the west coast people to be home and (probably) still early enough for the east coast as well. I figure Saturday night is better than a Friday night, suggestions welcome.
I'm not sure how registration would work exactly, should pre-registration be encouraged so we know around how many people will be in the tourney and the estimated payouts?
That's all for now.
Oh yes, and post to show interest.
