Meh, count me out since this is a freeroll. Free poker just isn't poker. I'm in for the future ones where there's a buy-in and a payout, though.

Since you're doing a freeroll on this one you might as well put it somewhere like yahoo that's acessible to everyone.

Well what you want to do is to create some interest first.
Promoting gambling on ATOT, I don't know if the MODS will approve.
Once we get a stream of regulars, then we can hold tournaments with real money.

I personally don't care so I added a poll concerning it. If we do have a buy in I think (at least at first) it should be kept very low to not have a money barrier there for entry.

I think CTrain has the right idea.

Depending on the interest level, I might put up a small purse. Maybe some other folks would like to chip in as well to make it interesting....

Nothing wrong with 5 card stud, but most people today prefer hold'em these days. That's a better draw.

I'll play...if it's at PokerRoom, it'll have to be for play money, though, as I don't have a real $$$ acct there.

I do like the idea of pitching in to a PayPal prize pool, though.

Don't know.

Fulltilt does, but they need a couple days advance notice.

In any case, I'm in.

I just called Party Poker, they do not allow for the custom creation of tournaments.

[edit]

We need some more input on the days for the tournament. Also, people have selected "Other" but have failed to specify which time, please do so so we can know when is good for you.

Lets go ahead and have this one as is in the OP for tonight to get the ball rolling and see how it'll work. We can then plan for the next one from there. If Party Poker had the ability to host tournaments then we would have it there, but they don't so lets plan on Poker Room (PokerRoom.com)

PM me if you are going to play tonight and I will add your name to the list.

Prima poker skins allow for the creation of private tournies, freerolls or not.

They also allow multi-table tournies and sit n gos.

EDIT: They charge $10 for a freeroll tourney...which might not be a problem if/when we actually have a PayPal prize pool.

Does pokerroom still have different servers for money and play accounts? I knew that had been a problem in the past because people that had deposited real money couldn't see tables that people had created because they only had play money accounts.

You can't see real money tables without a real money account, but you can see both with a real money account.

DOH, all PR allows are real money custom tournaments...

OK guys, we need some brainstorming here... what to do?

Why not do it on PokerStars?

If someone has the ability to create then it would be the easiest, you can register tournaments an hour in advance.
