Since the reviews are tied to our AT accounts, a seller would either have to create multiple accounts or leave multiple ratings. Either way, it shouldn't be hard to spot.

Would be great if not for the fact that all the evals/ratings would be tied to your user name. Might be something that would need to be done on the administration side.

Cool, but it's a bummer not to see the old data too. Even if you don't incorporate the old data directly in the new database, maybe you can get permission to host the archive of the old info from just before they shut down. For now, I guess I'll still to web.archive.org and google cache for second opinions...

Guess What? Someone just informed me that Resellerratings is back up and running. That's not to take away from Anandtech's attempt. I think that having both is great for the consumer. We all get tired of low price search engines leading us to the slaughter.

Whooo Hooooo, this will be the ultimate reseller ratings, I don't trust the original one so much, seems like alot of thier ratings were padded to the hilt with store employee/owner self-reviews.

I used Resellerratings all the time. Was very useful especially if you order from pricewatch's crappy vendors alot. Looking forward to using this service.

i wouldnt mind followups from vendors to customer complaints. i remember on reseller ratings, a business customer was complaining, and the VP or someone from Newegg responded and finally got everything resolved.

but if you mean you dont want vendors to add fake ratings, i'd agree.

Would it be possible to order the displayed list of sellers alphabetically? Just thinking down the road, once there are a lot of sellers listed, it would make it easier to find what you're looking for. But let me say again, this is a fantastic, A1 job. I value the input of ATer's highly, and this list will have more meaning for me than resellerratings ever did.

As a previous poster said, I value AT'ers comments more so than relative unknowns. Don't get me wrong, the other rating service is nice to see and read. It's just that if, for example, Rally1, Zwingle, Mrbentley, KwadGuy, etc. slam a company, I'm more apt to take notice and not dismiss it out of hand (rightly or wrongly).

So, regardless of the status of resellerratings.com, I think the AT thing should be supported.
