WHEN WILL THIS be on sale?
WHEN WILL THIS be on sale?
I don't see on Ncix... The anandtech review makes it seem like it should be for sale today.

Well that's your problem right there. Basically you want to stay at 4.6GHz with 1.1v and you're absolutely fine. Over that, it gets quickly too hot.

Problem is nobody is getting 4.5ghz at 1.1v. Most require 1.25-1.3V where temps skyrocket.
The overclocking potential of IB is a dud unless you have water cooling.
Chip won't boot at 4.6Ghz at 1.1v
4.6Ghz requires 1.26v for the majority of us IB owners.
You don't have to get 4.5GHz @ 1.1V, for me it isn't stable and wouldn't POST. I have my Core i5 3570K @ 4.5GHz at 1.3V currently and it is rock stable. I could do 1.28V but with some slight issue during the hot evenings. Temps only skyrocket from 1.3V onwards and I'm sure high end air coolers could still hold up at that voltage.Problem is nobody is getting 4.5ghz at 1.1v. Most require 1.25-1.3V where temps skyrocket.

I seem to remember that most people had a hard time reaching anything past 4.5GHz on most of the 2nd generation Intel® Core™ processors. So if I can get 4.5GHz at a lower voltage on these 3rd generation Intel Core processors and still get the better performance from the IPC improvement then I would say that it is most likely a good thing for most people (Ok not the few that can find one of those golden CPUs that you can work your magic on and get amazing results on).
The more important question would be:
What kinda bundle deal is microcenter gonna have?
Kinda thinking about downgrading my rig anyways. A hot microcenter deal will push me towards Ivy Bridge
