Sure you can just sit there and allow your pc to waste. Many of you in AT have powerful systems if not many many sytems that just sit around all day doing nothing (note: not all of u ). Instead of just wasting electricity why dont you put this $$ to good use. Think of it as an investment...
Sure you dont have to do it, nobody is making you do it, it must be a personal choice. But it's the right choice i belive b/c #1) your doing something w/ spare cycles that otherwise are just going to waste 2)helping out a cause 3) helping out a great team 4) dont you think u owe something back to TA as a whole for the wonderful forums and everything else? Never have i seen a forum as a whole full of people willing to help others. This is especially true of the Distributed computing forum where ppl will bend over backwards (and forwards, and sideways, and front to back) to help one another out, both with technical matters and with real world matters.
Either way the choice is yours and only yours but...
